Welcome to the Yassine Zone: Where Code Meets Crops! 🌱💻

Finally, we can talk about me, a blend of creativity and funny jokes (at least for me...)

Born in the small village of El Kbab, Morocco, I’ve always been curious and inventive. Growing up surrounded by nature, I tinkered with machines and dreamed of merging agriculture with technology long before it became trendy.

After earning a baccalaureate in physical and chemical sciences, I delved into hacking and tech, before pursuing a diploma in horticultural production. Three internships later, I discovered AgriTech and how powerful the blend of tech and agriculture could be.

My journey into IT started with ENAA’s Full-Stack Java/Angular, where I mastered Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices through 30+ projects (and a lot of coffee). Now, I’m passionate about creating innovative solutions that combine agriculture and technology—think smart farms and IoT-driven greenhouses.

Throughout my academic journey, I have completed over 30 projects using Java and Angular focused on designing and developing full-stack applications. These projects covered various domains, including management systems, e-commerce platforms, and dynamic web applications, allowing me to build expertise in creating scalable and efficient solutions while addressing real-world challenges.

The Ahmed Al Hansali Digital School in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region provides young people with training in digital skills such as programming and IT development. The nine-month program focuses on technical, relational, and entrepreneurial skills, aiming to help graduates find jobs or start their own businesses. The school is part of efforts to promote social and economic inclusion, with support from various partners including the Ministry of Digital Transition.

During my internship at Green OpenLab, I gained hands-on experience in digital transformation within the agricultural industry. My work involved technical management of rosaceous plants, vegetable crops, and medicinal aromatic plants, as well as contributing to innovative projects like Smart Farm 4.0, E-Service Desk, and the Agricultural Analysis Unit. I also collaborated on the Arwa Digital Irrigation Solution using IoT and LoRaWAN technologies and participated in the SIAM Startup Village, strengthening my expertise in smart farming and precision agriculture.

Green OpenLab is an AgriTech innovation accelerator in Sefrou, Morocco, offering a platform for product validation, market entry, and capacity building. It connects solution providers with farmers, fostering modernization and growth in agriculture through initiatives like "Lab-to-Market" for startups and "New Market" for established providers.

Market Gardening - Bell Peppers - Intern

During my internship at Domaine HAMMAD, I gained valuable experience in vegetable farming, focusing on the cultivation of bell peppers and cucumbers. My responsibilities included the production of seedlings, planting, post-planting maintenance, irrigation and fertilization management, pest monitoring, and phytosanitary treatments. I also contributed to quality control and harvest management, as well as installation of pest control systems. This internship provided me with practical skills in modern agricultural practices and enhanced my understanding of crop production systems.

Domaine HAMMAD is an agricultural company based in the Souss-Massa region of Morocco, specializing in the cultivation of bell peppers and cucumbers. Founded in 2012, the company holds certifications such as GLOBAL GAP, Grasp, and BRC, ensuring high standards of quality and sustainability. With a focus on producing quality crops, Domaine HAMMAD continues to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in Morocco.

During my internship at Jorf Agri, I gained valuable experience in citrus cultivation and tree farming, with a focus on various fruit trees including clementines, oranges, grapes, olives, and avocados. My responsibilities included pruning, maintenance, fertilization, winter treatments, and harvesting citrus fruits. This internship allowed me to develop practical skills in arboriculture and enhanced my understanding of fruit production systems and their management.

Jorf Agri is an agricultural company based in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region of Morocco, specializing in citrus and tree farming. Founded in 2009, it produces high-quality crops such as clementines, oranges, grapes, olives, and avocados, with certifications like GLOBAL GAP.
